FAQ

What is Gestalt Therapy?

Gestalt therapy is a person-centered form of psychotherapy that focuses on the present moments to better understand what is happening right now. Our goal is to develop more awareness and insight about our emotions, thoughts, and perceptions, and understand how these internal dialogues impact how we act and what we do. We do not ignore the past but rather how our past experiences have affected our current self.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept United Healthcare, Oscar and Oxford through a platform called Alma. Please visit My Alma Profile for additional information.

I also accept out-of-network benefits. My services may be covered in full or partially by your health insurance plan and I recommend clients contact their insurance provider to confirm out-of-network coverage prior to the start of treatment.

Here are a few potential questions to ask your insurance provider:

Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

Does this coverage aid in covering out-of-network services?

What is my deductible and has it been met?

What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

Is approval needed from my primary care physician?

How long and how often are sessions?

I see clients for 55-minute sessions and I recommend follow-up 1x/week to best support growth, healing, and restructuring of the self.

Are you offering teletherapy due to Covid-19?

Yes, all sessions are conducted through a secure video service.

What states are you licensed to practice in?

I am currently a licensed clinical social worker in the States of New York, Florida, New Jersey, and Colorado.

What is your fee?

$200 per 55-minute session
